GPS-enabled shoes Ulalaka GPS Walk
Save wandering seniors!! GPS Walk - shoes with built-in GPS device.
To prevent wandering behavior and missing persons due to dementia, which has become a social issue, we developed a GPS Walk in collaboration with NTT Docomo that can incorporate GPS devices. A small GPS device is embedded in the sole of the shoe, allowing for easy location tracking of the individual and monitoring of wandering behavior. Initially, the shoes could only incorporate GPS devices made by NTT Docomo, but after several improvements and generalization, they can now accommodate the world-standard tracking GPS, the LoRa beacon developed by Off Line Inc. (currently in demonstration testing), and the GPSBoT by Bsize (currently in demonstration testing). OEM support is also available, and we can collaborate with device development companies to propose and manufacture ways to integrate the devices. Awarded the Good Design Award in 2015. Certified product under the 11th Hyogo New Product Procurement Certification System.
